Some days I wonder about food and calories..I'm a rather plain eater and eat mostly the same food...When I find something I like I stick with it.......
I posted a while back about a favorite snack bar I love....they are 100 calories ...but today as I was sort of day dreaming and listening to the TV Gary was watching the fights on Showtime....I hear a familiar commercial ....so I wonder just how many calories was in a small Peanut Butter blizzard.... emoticon saying I was surprized was an understatement ....in the SMALL size it's 550 calories, 22 grams of fat, 45 grams of chol. and 76 carbs.....I was shocked till I saw the extreme chocolate Blizzard with Reeses peanut butter cup pieces....still a small but it has 800 calories...is that possible....800 calories, 38 grams of fat, 104 carbs.........
after I caught my breath I could not stop thinking that this small treat could really derail a person watching there calories...800 is almost my whole day of calories ( I try and stay in the 12500 range most days....
I felt a bit over whelmed, I had to admit I have not had a blizzard in year...an now probable will only get one to share with 3 of my best friends...and just might stick with the McDonald cone for 150 cal....

for now I am going to have a sweet yummy cutie, tangerine ...only 40 calories 0 fat, 0 chole. 0 sodium...
my heart has slowed down and I am so thank for I have spark people to help keep me on track to a healthy life.... emoticon

Have a wonderful week end....look up those calories before you eat....so you won't get sticker shock. emoticon

WOW! I really like the McD's ice cream cone! No blizzards around this area - at least not the food ones!

For me it is best to just stay away from those kind of treats. Then tend to be real trigger foods for me and I most certainly don't need that right now. I know that every once in a while we all need a treat, but I try to keep mine to a minimum and to only those things that I know the calorie count for!

    Love those Cutie oranges! emoticon

You would think something with that many calories would at least fill you up but no, they are empty calories for sure so definitely not worth it! I find those McDonald's cones quite satisfying when I'm really craving ice cream - they feel indulgent and are really not bad calorie-wise.

Kitt, I looked blizzards up a couple of years ago and was so shocked, I almost couldn't breathe. Do you realize how small a small blizzard is? It is extremely small and to have that many calories in something so small is not worth it to me. In fact, that is more than I eat in any given meal ever! I am talking about the 550 one and I would never eat an 800 calorie meal. Like you, if I want ice cream, the 150 calorie McDonalds cone does the trick. Thank you for posting this info.

In my area they have Blizzard mini sizes. If a person REALLY wanted a Blizzard that might be an option.

Wow kit never knew there were that many calories and fat in those things. It I want something like that. I make a homemade frozen yogurt and all my favorites then freeze it. I use plain Greek yogurt.

Wow, that is amazing how many calories. I am glad I don't have a craving for those any time at all. I kind of like what I like too and usually have about the same thing. Good job for having the tangerine
