Woke up this morning to snow as they had forecast. It has not stopped all day and we have enjoyed our snow day at home. We got school finished which wasn't easy as the snow was calling, but they got it done! Didn't take long and they were off to sled on the hills at the little park just down the street from our house.

I made them some hot cocoa using vanilla rice milk and mini chocolate chips for a treat to help warm up as they were out there for over an hour. I was surprised as it was 25 degrees and breezy. Maegann helped me shovel the driveway and sidewalk too. I've shoveled it all a second time and now my fitness time is done for today as I must be careful on the Shape Reclaimed protocol.

We did venture out after lunch to Claire's to see if they could help get Maegann's "locked" earring backs off and they couldn't. Not sure how to get those crazy things off! We will try triple antibiotic for "oil" and it will combat any germs with the hands being around there so much. Hopefully she can get it to work its way off. She was so disappointed...again. These pierced ears have not been an easy road for her!

Because of the weather we did call off going to Winter Jam tonight. We'd have to be on our way right now (4 p.m.) and would be sliding home on ice about midnight. Thankfully even Isaac understood why we made this decision yesterday and I'm so glad because it could have really messed up our day as a family. Nice the snow has been plentiful so he can start thinking "Christmas" instead. Told him he should pray for the buses that are on the roads for all the bands and performers.

Once I finish Sparking I am going to get the Christmas letter ready to print a draft. We have to get the cards/letters ready to go right after Thanksgiving because of our address changing. It will also be nice to have it out of the way especially as I've done zero for gifts. I need to find an alternate place to have some things shipped so the boxes don't spoil the surprises.

Tomorrow... school and presentation night, hopefully. I say hopefully because they are predicting freezing rain tomorrow evening. I did check and can't reschedule the facility.

We got hammered as well. Don't the earring backs just screw off?

Sounds like a nice day and looks like the kids had fun. We're supposed to get 2-4 inches tomorrow. So not ready for it!

I remember the days when snow made kids happy at our house. Sadly this storm just made DS angry because all he has to commute around on is a scooter and he refuses to try the public bus system. I wish I didn't let it get to me. His bed to lie in, but I do.

Glad you had a good day.
