Cold out, so decided to go to our HS football game. Yes, I really wanted to go.
So I dressed really warm, probably for subzero temperatures instead of the 20-30 degree range. My husband was laughing at me, but he always tells me (since I am pretty much always cold...
While I wasn't "embracing the day," I was enjoying friends, family, and former students and not really cold. I had already begun patting myself on the back. So I got home, stuffed up, coughing, and feeling generally rotten. So if what my husband says is true...
Why do I look like this now?
It almost always happens. Not a coincidence, I say. My husband's take on this is I need to "just build up my immunity." Like to snake venom? I'm not thinking so!
What I am most bummed about is that I won't be getting in my 10,000 steps today. Can I count this as a positive because I now care about this?
PS. We did not win today, but we won the sectional title last week and this would have just been icing on the cake on the way to state championships. The coach is a colleague of mine and coached both of my kids over 10 years ago and is retiring. It was a great season to finish with!
