Worship was great this morning. I really enjoyed our pastor's sermon series called "Being All In." Now we'll probably head into more of the traditional holiday sermons I would imagine. Maegann and I were on our own there today so we did some store stops on the way home. I bought a couple cute fall tops and she found some as well. After lunch we headed to the small indoor mall here in town as she needed some sterling silver backs for her earrings and we found that store had a major sale going so we both bought some jewelry. On the way out of the mall we ran across a sports store so we went in to look for Oregon Duck stuff for Isaac's Christmas. I even found an ornament! Maegann bought him a New Orleans Saints pillow pet to give him for Christmas too. Nice having most of his stuff done. Maegann's I need to order online mostly so should be able to get the majority finished up this week.
I dropped her off at the house and then headed over to visit dad for awhile. We had a very nice visit about all sorts of things. Sure it was all about him, but he has a lot going on between the macular degeneration, arthritis in his back, the broken ankle and wanting to be at his own place instead of rehab. I got home before it got dark and before the roads turned into a total sheet of ice again.
This evening I got things ready for co-op and I'm sure there will be more families gone just because of the icy roads. Thankful there is nothing else on the calendar except co-op tomorrow. My goal is to finish up the paperwork stuff I didn't get done this weekend along with the Christmas letter draft.
We also sold our old Christmas tree as it is too big for the new house. We then ordered a new one from the same place we had purchased the other one as it stood up for over 10 years and still had years to go. This one is only a 7 1/2 foot tree and "slimmer" so 55" around. Will fit the corner here in this small living area nicely. It was sad to see the big one go though. A lot of memories with that 12' tree!
BL Challenge - Team Emerald: We are halfway through our final week of the Fall challenge so things are gearing up for the Winter one. Looking forward to the Winter Freeze Off!
