Another weekend rolls around...

Saturday, November 22, 2014

For those of us..like me..that are retired..the weekend does not carry the "special" meaning

that it does for the workers ..but it is a chance to meet and greet family and friends..

The holidays will soon consume a great deal of our time and effort so we need to prepare

mentally for that. Even Dr Oz, forgive me I rarely quote him...but today I will..so ..even Dr Oz

said..hold the line and enjoy. My addition to that is one statement I heard a long time ago..

IT IS NOT WHAT YOU EAT FROM THANKSGIVING TO CHRISTMAS THAT WILL DO YOU IN..

TIS WHAT YOU EAT FROM CHRISTMAS TO THANKSGIVING.... emoticon

My sincere wish is for all of us to celebrate the holiday season with a joyfilled heart...

So many have given so much to give us the freedom to enjoy our lives..we should show

our appreciation by participating with full heart and thankfullness indeed.

If like me you are in capable of just having a "nibble"..then allow yourself that Thanksgiving

Meal..it is in fact only one day...one meal..but why does it seem that so many feel they have

to end up as stuffed as the Turkey ??? Eat an enjoyable amount..a reasonable amount

and be truely thankful for the blessings we have! emoticon

Ok..thas my lecture for the weekend. Now got to continue the evening date with Mr Treadmill

and a go round with my new yoga DVD...do people REALLY bend like that!! Whew!!

See ya on the morrow...rest well tonite !

emoticon I loved that comment about it is what we eat from Christmas to Thanksgiving. My goal is to eat on Thanksgiving the way I have become accustomed to eating, and to enjoy my family more than the process of eating.

I honestly don't miss that "stuffed' feeling and enjoy the meal so much more by not overdoing it.
    Happy Thanksgiving, Katie! emoticon

I love the saying about what we eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving is what really counts! Why do we feel the need to gorge? Ah, we humans and our foibles!
