Allow me to let you in on a secret --

Something most women either don't know or don't believe: sexy is all in the head! Yup! It is an attitude of confidence in yourself, the knowledge that you have something good to offer others, and the belief that you are attractive where it counts (on the inside). It is loving yourself! Notice that I didn't say beautiful or even pretty anywhere. Trust me.
Men get it. Too many get it TOO well and ignore their need to maintain themselves physically. Ugh. But women seem to devote entirely too much time and effort obsessing over the physical -- and mentally magnifying physical molehills into mountains. Worst of all is this idea that "sexy" is what's between your legs. IT'S NOT! SEXY IS BETWEEN YOUR EARS!
Just begin by believing in yourself and getting off the couch and getting active. Challenging yourself physically (that challenge part is important) to do something new and exciting will make you "sexy" fast, believe me! And it'll even pay off physically. Or, take a class and challenge yourself mentally. I took an Italian class at the local college. The 18 to 20-year-olds found me to be quite the oddity. But I learned their names; made myself speak up in class and ask "stupid" questions, and asked for their help when I could. I was accepted. The girls gave me fashion tips to update my look and asked for my advice about their relationships. It was a real boost to my ego to "keep up with" the youngsters! Yeah, and I learned some Italian also! My increased confidence led to some more changes, and some more changes.... And men started noticing me again, not because I was acting flirtatious, but because I was becoming happy again. Something in me was starting to sparkle again -- and everyone notices sparkle!
As a bonus, it is easier to embrace healthy choices when you are happy! So smile! Seek some fun! Mental health and physical health will follow and so will "sexy". When you feel good about yourself, that beer gut will not look so good to you; you won't feel good wearing the saggy baggy too big t-shirt or the too big or too-tight pants; and good grooming will be something worth spending a little extra time on just because it makes YOU feel good. But that molehill will simply fade into the background of unimportance.
And when you love yourself again, you won't want to stay fat or unhealthy. You'll know you're worth the effort of investing in yourself. Change is good, my friends! Challenge yourself to make changes to seek some happiness/purpose/fun in your life. You'll be glad you did!
