Unhappy New Year at my house!

Thursday, January 01, 2015

Well, last night I found out I have $25 in savings. Altough I make over $4000 per month, I have left managing our bills and savings to my husband. My husband is unemployed and I have not been able to motivate him to find a job....any job.

This ia the thanks I get.

And now he is talking about leaving me. I wonder how he plans to live.

Today on SmartCoach the video was on thinking positively. How can I be positive in the face of a life that is falling apart!?!

I'm 60 years old. My saving and retirement accounts are gone except for one 401K. I ave plenty of nothing.

Retiring is never going to happen here! I'll be lucky to make it to the next paycheck.

I've not gone through anything like this, but the advice you're getting on here is good. My mother in law went through a late in life divorce and the first advice her lawyer gave her was to set up accounts of her own that her hubby couldn't touch.

    Praying for you!

It is time to take over managing your money and to remove your "hubby" from your accounts.

I am so sorry you are going through this. We kind of need a club for this kind of thing becasue I am in the same boat. My husband did leave me and it wasn't until then that I found he had looted everything including my parents money. Now he is with a very rich woman and plans on getting married. I will be in the dust and he will be living high. Ugh.....Hang in there sweetie!! You are going to make it. Please, immediately, open a bank account in a different bank and start putting your paycheck in there. Take over paying bills. You need to take care of YOU!!! Good luck!!
