Some of the comments below that video were very unforgiving. Indeed, PB's have a bad rap, as do many of the 'jaw' breeds which, if they ARE of the biting type, do a lot of damage. However, even dog behaviourist Victoria Stillman says that, brought up responsibly and owned by loving, responsible owners, the breed is no more dangerous than any others. The dog in the video clearly is a great ambassador for PB's.

I remember many years ago, our vet told us of a seminar he went to, a joint veterinary and medical conference. At one point the medical speaker stated that more German Shepherds bit people than any other breed - at which point every veterinarian stood up and shouted him down, saying that, statistically, more 'little' dogs bit people than GSD's, it's just that those bites were not bad enough to warrant the injured people going to hospital, so went unreported! Having spent my life 'in dogs', I can categorically state that the only dog which I genuinely thought was going to attack me was the neighbour's Golden Retriever, which was in our garden the day we moved into our married quarter! I had to stand rigidly as this dog raced toward me with red eyes, my arms folded and looking dead ahead whilst he circled me until the owner came out! That dog was fabulous with everyone including my husband, but it hated me, no matter what I tried in order to befriend it - which was strange seeing as my life was totally involved with my passion for dogs and all animals! Go figure!

Lovely video - thank you for sharing.
