A Mom has a tough job!

Friday, January 09, 2015

It's almost here---that weekend---more time for ourselves.
Yesterday, while filling up the car, I nearly froze to death---I thought a fall jacket would cut it---be sufficient to run in and out of stores etc--
I forgot it's January , in the north, and with a wind chill, the gas station I was at , felt like I was standing at the North Pole--
January and February, here, call for heavy parkas!

Eating and fat-wise-----I am struggling--
Why is week#2 so difficult?----
Week #1, in my blitz to get to Onederland ,was a breeze---
On the good side---the journaling continues and the calorie count is not too bad--
The exercise is good-----but-------DREAMING IS NOT GOING TO DO IT!

I don't want ""FAT""igue-----!!!!!

And so, snow shovelling will be a priority to-day---maybe call son#3, the Policeman and make sure he made it safely thru the night on his shift-
You see, Moms worry----
Maybe call son#2, the Air Canada Pilot too, and see if he is still out in Newfoundland, waiting to transport a planeful of people back to TORONTO.
Lord love a Duck!-Being a Mom is a tough job!

What a workout, shovelling snow! You will be so skinny by the end of the winter.

Once a Mom --- always a Mom --- no matter the ages of our off-spring!

I for one love being a mother & grandmother --- next to being a wife to my beloved MrV, that is the best "job" in the world!

    God bless!

YUP, you have the right of that...

but,,,, somethimes, having a mom is no walk in the park either.
At least that is the impression I get from my off-spring from time to time.

Moms worry and Moms love. It is what we do best and what our children count on us to do. They always know Mom will be there for them. Enjoy!

Yeppers Moms do have a tough job. Like trying to convince son and his girlfriend not a good idea this weekend to drive upstate to our cabin that is located right in the mountains. If it snows they could be stuck there longer than just the weekend. See it was the girlfriend's birthday on 1/2 and son's birthday is tomorrow so they thought it they would celebrate them both up in the mountains. They finally came to their senses and decided not to go. It is a 6 hour drive up through wilderness and not much up there. Sometimes I really wonder about son. No, not really I wonder all the time, not always the best decisions are made despite caution and advice from Mom but then that is life teaching him something when his decision goes haywire. AND Mom gets to do her "I told you so" dance. I just so love that!!! emoticon

    Have a fun Friday!!!

But you do it so well. If a mom doesn't worry, she must be doing something wrong.

I find that it helps with the "FAT-igue" to think of my way of eating as a new lifestyle. There will be no end when I reach my weight goal.

Psalm 37:1-7 might be helpful today in the mum-worry-sphere (which we all have as mothers). Got a snow storm out here and son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter are off to Boston to visit Lesley U. "The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them." - Psalm 34:7 emoticon

We NEVER stop being mums do we?

And it's so darn cold here . . . YIKES!!

(Exercise is terrific: but for me at least 90% of weight loss/maintenance is the diet thing . .. . ).
