What Are They Implying ???

Friday, January 09, 2015

I don't have time to write an essay or commentary on this, however, I believe perhaps plenty of you will be having an opinion about my observation.

I went into a brand new Sports superstore. It had a ton of expensive designer cool looking clothes. There were sections for various sports.

I also noticed that they had posters on the windows showing their hopefully enthusiastic staff . It had a nice picture of each and a little introduction about each person and their department.

I noticed that they were all in their late teens into their 20's.

There is also a trend in many malls to see beautiful, cheerful appearing pictures of people in the corridors between the stores.

The advertisers ideal is to present beautiful people full of energy and looking healthy.

Are they claiming, only the youth are healthy and vibrant ? What about families and people past 30, 40, 50, and God forbid , above....

Just saying... what do you think?

I'm not just referring to weight and shape, but age.

What are you thinking???

They're implying that their clientele are primarily younger.

We are a shallow society that promotes sexuality, and beauty above ethics, and normalcy. I work out in a large men's shirt cause it's comfy, and sweats. if people don't like the way I look, then don't look. I really don't care about others opinions at this point in my life. In my real life, if others are different I keep to myself. I am very opinioned but in a very conservative liberal sense. I hate the rap music showing buts moving. I actually feel like we should bring in a little censorship. Movies are getting away with some porn now acting like doing some sex is necessary! As far as health our society makes too much money off prescriptions, and processed foods. It's a vicious cycle where in the end you need one to survive off the other, and either way they both kill you!

They sure wouldn't have me standing in a door. I am 86 and have health issues.
But God is with me and that is what I need most.

It also boils down to sex sells. It seems to me a man's point of view. With the overall aging of america you'd think that majority rules. But fashion has always had blinders on, if you're not thin as a rail and in your late teens, well you're just not the prime target anymore. Too bad for the rest of the of the 99.9% of you all. Yes I resemble the majority, LOL

They don't think that we want to get healthy so they go after the ones that they think will spend money on that but they are wrong and should not count us out
