too busy to blog until now

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

Wow, it seems like life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately.

Luckily, today I am on the last week of Winter Break from school and unable to work out because I had an upper endoscopy with some biopsies (to check on my GERD I've had most my life) and am finding myself with a lot of free time and no plans for it.

There is so much catching up to do. In October I turned 30 and ran my second 5k the weekend before. I got a personal best.

Before the New Year, I decided I want to run a half marathon in 2015. I am already registered and already training...the date for it is July 19, 2015! I plan to run a 10k somewhere in there too.

I started a new blog in addition to my vegan cooking blog, called Stream of Laura. It's about my running thoughts and other things related to my runs. streamoflaura.net

I haven't been slacking with my workouts, but I have been having trouble keeping my food in check. Especially since I've been bored on my break from school and dealing with the holidays. I've gained like 20 lbs :( but trying to get back on track. I'm glad I still enjoy working out and make that a priority though.

Oh, and during my first semester at my new school and my first time taking full time courses for a long time, I came out with straight As in all four classes! Yes.

I've been busy and will be busy again very soon I am sure, that I am not sure how active I can be with sparkblogs and the like, but I will try to update maybe a little more...if possible.
