I have to take hormone replacement therapy because of surgeries I had a couple of years ago. My doctor found one that really worked great for me. Trouble is, it is no longer available. I have to get a new one. The upside...the old one cost over $100 copay...the new one cost about $6. The downside...it may not work as well, and if I get out of balance again hormonally, I'm going to drive the people around me bonkers. I'm trying not to worry about it, but truth is, it makes me very nervous.
My goal: not to eat because I am worried or stressed, but to make wise food choices.
Our tech says my computer "might" be fixed, but I won't know until I get home and try to connect to our wireless. I hate waiting. But I will not eat to make the time pass faster!
Best thing I ever did for my hormones was to cut out dairy, sugar, grains and soy. It's an adjustment period but once you get over the hump, WOW! I'll be thinking of you and wishing you many good vibes. 1829 days ago
I hope the new meds work for you. It sure will be a lot cheaper. LOL - Just spend the extra funds in the right place.
I remember a GF asking me what I did when I had menopause cuz she was having such a wicked time. I don't recall having it at all. I ask my Doctor about it. He was willing to give me some meds. I told him NO, I was doing just fine and if it wasn't broke wasn't going to fix it. I guess another reason why I feel blessed. I have no idea what I did to manage to escape that. I did have some anxiety attacks back a couple years ago, that kind of frightened me. It was quite scary when I was driving.
It looks like you have the right idea with those fruggies. Stay with it. MW 1830 days ago
I tried just about everything when I went thru the change. My flashes weren't as bad as many around me had, but still annoying. Nothing like trying to start an IV on a patient with a sweat ball rolling down your nose!
You're correct to follow the direction of eating real unprocessed foods, it the best thing you can do for yourself. Maybe try looking into foods that will help and or support your hormone needs naturally. 1830 days ago
