I am a gazelle?

In today's aerials class, we focused on trapeze positions. At first, I found it rather difficult to trust my balance and position and let go with my hands. It was truly a moment of pride for me when I was able to accomplish the "Gazelle" position, relying completely on balance, and not holding on to anything except my knee.
Although there is a very thick mat under the trapeze, there is still that little fear of falling, which makes me want to hang on to those ropes. I'm learning to trust my balance and my leg positions to hold me in place.
Aerials is strength training. My upper body, arms, chest, back, and core - especially abs - are always nicely sore the day after class. I am gaining confidence, too. I love my aerials classes!
