Making it through February...

Saturday, February 07, 2015

First week of February is officially done and I have hit the 10 pound down mark. I went ahead and re evaluated my fitness level and my weight loss goals to make sure my caloric deficit is keeping up with me. I changed by about 100 calories or so, so not much of a difference. I am pretty excited about the progress I have been making and that I have stuck to it for so long. Even if my goal is 2 pounds a week and I lose 1 I still see it as a success. emoticon

I have started to notice some changes in my body as well. My thighs are getting smaller and more defined. My stomach is also shrinking along with my love handles. My arms are showing more definition and I have been able to add more weight to my exercises to feel the burn ( without overdoing it of course). emoticon I am feeling better and I am also sleeping better, for the most part. I am having more energy and have no urge to drink pop anymore. emoticon emoticon I also am not longer wanting to eat at any of the fast food restaurants that are two minutes away from my apartment. I have gone 6 full days with no pop and no fast food. I have only eaten what I make and bring with me to work. emoticon

I have also noticed I am starting to get a handle on how to keep my sodium level in check but still hit my daily calorie intake (which was something I was struggling with). I think that this could be part of the reason I am not hitting my two pound a week mark. I am normally under the bottom of my calorie range. So this week I am aiming to fix that. I know I need to give my body what it needs so I can work out and become more healthy and not feel so hungry to the point that I want to binge eat. Lucky for me if I do want to binge I have healthier options that I can choose from and normally keep myself in check.

So with this new goal of hitting my calorie range everyday and keeping my sodium in a good daily range, I will definitely be watching everything and measuring everything even more.

Today I decided I wanted pancakes. So I finally got into the pancake mix I got from the Farmer's market. I switched out some of the ingredients for healthier ones and added some chocolate chips and they turned out pretty yummy! So one pancake with a serving of syrup, a serving of eggbeaters original, and 3 turkey sausage links was my breakfast. emoticon

After I'm done on here I think I'm going to get ready to go to the gym, then come home and shower and get moving with the rest of my day. I saw a couple of recipes that I really want to try. I am also planning on making more muffins since they were such a huge hit with everyone. So looking at recipes for that as well.

Hope the rest of February is treating you good! emoticon
