Control cravings: Cross your forearms. Squeeze the little flaps of skin by your ear canals (not your earlobes) for 30 seconds. Breathe deeply, exhaling twice as long a time as it takes you to inhale.

Well.... now that you ask..... yes.
I mean, I wonder -- does it work because if you are holding onto your ears you can't grab a bite of food? Or because you have to distract yourself by counting out your breathing? Or because squeezing that part of your ear actually hurts a bit which rather ruins the desire for food? Or because you feel you LOOK ridiculous enough that you remove yourself from temptation? Or because you gave yourself time and thought enough to TRY anything to control yourself? Or because....

It does work; but I've never tested it as a preventative measure. I mean, I've never sat in my car before a party squeezing my ears in hopes I could forestall cravings for the tempting sweets set out!
