Day 4 Beck Diet Solution..Giving myself credit..

Thursday, February 19, 2015

I thought this would be difficult..but I have to say..Its been fun. I don't think I have ever consciously credited myself in much of anything. It feels nice to find the little / big things and say to myself ..I did it,Congratulations, that was good, I'm proud of you for doing what ever..etc.
I almost feel guilty for rewarding myself in this way..Yes , guilty, or is it shame?Like I'm not worth it?..I don't know , but this I do know..I am finding joy in rewarding myself. Its a sweet feeling .
Crazy..but I feel like tearing up knowing that I am doing good things and I can give myself kudos. I am worth it.
I hope this day you all are successful in what ever eating plan your following..and that you find joy in rewarding yourself in comforting words..words of encouragement.
The Lord is so good to us.

The Beck Diet Solution is the best book I ever read! It has helped me stop yo yo-ing after years of it!

Yep, give yourself credit...and my saying is "Beck works if you work Beck!" So have a wonderful Beck-ful day!

You will get more used to it...it really does get easier to do that and I can see why it is so stressed by Beck...it really does feel good after you get used to it....accentuate the positive instead of the negative! I felt the same as you in the beginning!

Congratulations to you. Don't ever feel guilty about doing something good for yourself. If you don't do who's going to do it for you. We women always put everyone first and think of ourselves last. How did this happen? Every day think how good you feel when you give yourself credit for doing good things for yourself. You are worth it! Keep up the good work and keep us posted. emoticon
