Well, I've been gone for quite a while, and have drastically slipped from weight loss goals. Now, I'm hoping to come back to BLC and have the help from my teammates to get me back on track. I was doing so well; I was eating better and exercising more. Now, I'm eating terribly and not exercising nearly like I was.
When I was with the Ivory Falcons, my teammates were there, every step of the way, encouraging me and rooting for me. I really appreciated their words, and I thought I could do better without them. BOY! WAS I WRONG! They say hindsight is always 20-20, and now I wish I hadn't left the team.
I hope when the next round starts, I can get back with the Falcons or another team will accept my application to be on their team.
On a much happier note, my little granddaughter is now almost 16 months old. She's a happy go-lucky girl who is very inquisitive.
On a not-so-much happier note, she's given us a few scares; she's showing signs of having asthma and currently she's allergic to peanuts, gluten, eggs and beef. My daughter has to take her back to the allergist when she's two and have her retested. The allergist is hoping by the time Ella is four or five that she'll outgrow most of the allergies, but I think the peanut allergy is for life. This all started when my daughter gave her some scrambled eggs. Ella went into anaphylaxis shock; she wasn't breathing and she broke out into hives. Scared everyone. My daughter and son-in-law took her to the fire station which in turn took her to the hospital with lights and sirens. The paramedics injected her with an epi pen and my husband and my daughter's in-laws spent the day at the hospital. Unfortunately, I couldn't get away, so I was stuck in the office. Fortunately, my husband kept texting updates and pictures.
