Rest day

Sunday, March 08, 2015

After a 12 hour grueling day at yesterday's event and having 3000 people through the door at Mote Park. Spending hours talking about meteorites and moon creates I decided to have a real rest day. Now mostly a rest day means not doing so much exercise but still quite a bit. Today is a real rest, the only exercise was going to get my morning paper and going out with my camera. Some say working on the computer it exercise emoticon

My favorite place is called Bloors Wharf which some of you know from my picture in the past. It is part of the tidal River Medway. You have to wait for the tide to be right or it is not worth a visit as the bird or too far out.

This was two hours after low water, not quite ideal but still worth it.

I have not been there for a while but today the different birds was amazing. Gulls aplenty, Redshanks, Teals, Mallard, Shelduck, one or two Avocets (not sure of these because they were a long way out). There was also what I think were Brent Geese but they did not look quite right and were too far out for a picture.

Anyway here are some of what I took.

Sleepy Teals

I think these are Wigeon but not sure

Gulls, Gulls everywhere.

That's it until I get more off of the camera.
