Daniel Plan - focus

I am reading the jump star guide of the Daniel Plan. Mind you, I am not on track with the rest of the congregation. I have not kept up with the daily reads. I am looking at Day 2 focus. Why do I want to be on the journey to better health.
First, journey is a big change in the way I think. Wellness is not a one and done thing. Wellness is a life long practice. Though out the different seasons of life, we have different needs. When I think about "a diet," it is time limited. I will reach a magical number and be done.
I am walking this path to long term wellness of body, heart, soul, and mind. The needs may have some changes or tweaks over the years, but wellness is life long.
Next, in Day 2 know you motivation. I want to be able to care better care of my family. Right now I don't have the energy to be the example. If I feel better, I will be able to show more compassion and love to others. It is hard to love others and be non judgmental, when you don't feel good. I want to take my son camping with the Boy scouts. I want to show god's love in my actions. I want to refocus my actions, what is God's plan, not my plan.
