Drink More Water

Saturday, March 14, 2015

emoticon I have recently realized that I actually like to drink water. It is a bit of a shock to me. I switched to drinking diet pop years ago, but that was pretty much all I ever wanted to drink. If I did have water, I would usually add some kind of flavoring to it. Now, I have learned a "trick". emoticon I don't actually like my water to be very cold. I realize now that I prefer to drink water at room temperature. I keep bottles in different rooms of the house so I can have it easily accessible throughout the day. I just refill with fresh every day. I am also trying to drink only water or occasionally tea at restaurants. I have learned to ask for no ice with my water and to add lemon when possible. I have sensitive teeth which may be a factor. I know it may seem odd, but this works for me. Maybe it could help someone else by me sharing this tip. Good luck drinking your daily water! emoticon

I also have to ask for no ice in my water at restaurants. Sometimes their water is gross though! That's why they add ice, so you don't notice. At least that's what my mom and I think, but maybe we're cynical. I love to heat up my water when it's chilly. I like your room temperature water idea, I might try that too. Keep up the good habit!

I like water, and I like it cold. I keep a 32 oz mug on my desk at work and at home. Good for you for finding what works for you emoticon

I am struggling with trying to like water. I always like it at room temperature, and I use a Brita filter to help get rid of that tap-water taste. I don't like adding flavors because then you always get aspartame or some other chemical sweetener. I love diet soda, and this is a real problem for me, although I drink caffeine-free whenever possible. Maybe eventually I'll learn to like water. You give me hope!

Good advice. I like my water a room temp too. I can also taste the difference in water brands. Some brands I don't like the taste at all. Some I love the taste of. The best water I ever had was at the Grand Canyon. This restaurant pumped the water up from the bottom of the Grand Canyon. I couldn't get enough of it. My hubby thinks I am now a water connoisseur. Be blessed, Alice
