Well, where to begin. In February, I was on work restrictions which really threw my whole eating healthy and going to the gym out of whack. I tried to go to the gym but I either put too much strain on my ankle or on my rib. So I took some time off from that to heal. Then, because of my restrictions, I had lower paychecks which means less things for me to get for meal prepping. So that also took a fall. I had another follow-up and was completely released to return to work. This is where I currently am.
I have yet to go to the gym like I plan because I have been so tired lately. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my eating habits. I am going to make time to go tonight because I have no excuses to not go on the weekends. I did get a pay raise in my progression for work so I will have an additional .50 added to my check now. That will definitely help! Our over time is starting to come back as well which will also help. I have also moved up in the world of work and have been trusted to deal with a specific carrier each week. I have also been informed by my lead, who had interview for a supervisor position, that if he takes it he wants me to apply for the lead position. He feels I would be the only one qualified enough to take it, even though I haven't been there a year and there are others who would meet that criteria. I told another supervisor this in confidence and he agreed that he thought I would be good at it. If this does happen I would move from a Material Handler 1 to a Material Handler 3 in less than a year. That means a pay raise and I wouldn't really have to do much physical labor, which would help my back a lot.
So throughout all of this my weight has only fluctuated a couple pounds and while I haven't been able to find the motivation I've been looking for, I'm not discouraged. I am just going to pick up where I left off. I just need to find the means to buy food for meal prepping and stop slacking. I've also decided to add a multi vitamin to my regimen, it could help me get some of the nutrients and vitamins I'm missing on a daily basis.
I've also made some decent headway on bills since I got my taxes back. I put a decent amount into my savings and I'm currently on my way to paying off two different credit cards and I'm looking to cancel one of them. I know my credit may take a small hit, but I don't want to have 3 credit cards in my name. I might just keep the other one for emergencies and things and make sure I don't ever run it up like that again. Even thought I was dealing with unemployment at the time.
So while some things may moving in the right direction and others are lagging, I'm pretty sure I can have everything going at the same pace by the end of the month!
Hope March has been great for everyone!
