Update on my "March march"

Sunday, March 15, 2015

This update is long overdue and I apologize to my Sparkfriends who offered to be my walking buddies for this month.

Right from the start of my ambitious endeavor I faced all kinds of detours and hurdles. I am sad to say things have not changed. I keep getting sidetracked and bombarded with unexpected events, and I am barely holding on. I do realize that my goals at the beginning of March were ambitious, but I really thought they were totally doable. Well, as so often dreams (goals) and reality don't go together.

I have not been able to exercise any significant amount, however, I did faithfully wear my pedometer and as of today, March 15th, I have walked 43 miles this month. Most of these steps were accumulated just by doing my daily activities and chores. I can only imagine what I could accomplish if I actually could dedicate time for nice long walks.

I know how important goal setting is during this journey, but for me it almost seems that every time I do set specific goals, life gets more complicated.

I will not give up on my "March march", but I have to accept the fact that I need to make adjustments, and basically just do the best I can, given my circumstances. That really is all I can do.

Still moving forward! emoticon emoticon emoticon

It happens to us all the more we try to do the more things that go wrong. Sometimes so much that I I supposed to lose weight. I can never keep up with a goal as much as I try. Real life it happens. You do what you can and just keep moving. The rest will follow. emoticon emoticon

43 miles! emoticon I've only done 35!! So you are doing really great!! I haven't been getting in my walks like normal with all our yard work projects going on. Yep, things get in the way! I am missing my walks and hope to get back on a regular schedule this week! I do keep up with my indoor exercises though no matter is a routine I have developed over the it is like second nature to me. You will get there like I did...just keep at it...I have faith in you. I am here to cheer you on, no matter what! emoticon

43 miles is great!! Keep working on it, you can do it. I have managed to keep walking every day. Next week the Spark challenge goes to 30 min walk a day. Been doing 20.
It's ok to change your goals mid-stream!!!
