Finding time for body, mind, and spirit

I've decided that I need to schedule time for all three important aspects of health. I've tried meditation before, but I let life get in the way of making it a priority. This is wrong. The mind is our strongest ally and sometimes strongest enemy. Without peace of mind and a mental calm we will never have peace in our day to day life. Peace and acceptance come when we let go. Let go of where we are vs where we want to be. Let go of work vs personal life. Let go of other's views vs our own. Just let go and flow. We all struggle in the today to stay in today. Stay in the moment, in the now. We have to find our way to that place of calm acceptance where we are truly happy. Only then can we accept change. Then it is not a struggle, it is part of your day. Moving along daily, each day a little different from the day before. But we accept that good or bad and keep moving. There will be bad in life, it happens. Calm the mind, accept, move on.

So, as of yesterday, I have started a half hour of meditation when I get home from exercising. A moment for the higher me. A time to come to terms with life on a grander level. A more elevated way of understanding. This is for me. This is to love me. This is to find peace in the unhappy parts of my life. This is to not concern myself with what is not happening, but to enjoy what is. Enjoy my happy. No more reeling in the negative.
