How fast does a month go! (And 100 Days of Fitness Challenge)

Monday, March 23, 2015

I just want to thank all of you who were so supportive after my last blog entry. I really was feeling low and terrible and I really appreciate having so many loving people there when I fall.

I hadn't intended to write a month-after update but it seems to have worked out that way! So what has happened in a month?

emoticon I've been doing a lot of travelling still for work and volunteering, and haven't made a lot of thesis progress

emoticon I've been going to the gym again! I have a plan, and goals, and I'm moving forward with my fitness to try and get back to where I was in October

emoticon I lost six pounds (averaging exactly my 1.5 per week goal)

emoticon I just got hired on for a new job! A real, grownup job, at a company I've worked for through the summers and volunteer for during the year. And I'm on a manager-track apparently, with the directors of two departments fighting over where I get to work. At this rate, I will be in the right place to take over for the COO when he retires! (Har har, I think I would hate that job)

Spring has sprung and I am feeling much better about things. I am joining some of my very anti-blah friends in a 100 Days of Fitness Challenge.

30 minutes a day, every day for 100 days.

I'm excited for this challenge because even if that is a long time, it is a good way to make a solid habit of exercising even just a little. And it won't let me slip from one rest day in to a rest month -- instead of taking a rest day, I'll go for a walk or go dancing or something.

Day One was today, and I hit up the gym for a walk and for Zumba!

emoticon and a new job that you are excited about! emoticon

I love the 100 day challenges myself. LOL, I must, as I am doing my 17th! Truly, I can't believe I'm still at it, but my snacking has done me in over the 1600 days. Still, the 100 days are a great accountability model for me, as I know I would have regained all of my lost weight, were it not for the 100 Days of Accountabilty (and now the Challenges, which was the greatest discovery for me last Summer)

You are doing fantastic! Keep doing what you are. It's giving you GREAT results! emoticon
