My CHANGE has come!

Three years ago I was diagnosed with pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital. I have been walking around for over two months with walking pneumonia and didn't even know it.
In addition I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. The doctor placed me on Prednisone which did nothing to help my healthy lifestyle that I had developed. All the weight that I had previously lost, which totaled about 86 pounds, I gained back and then some. I was DEVASTATED!
Because of the Sarcoidosis I had to stay on the Prednisone to get better... My breathing was affected because my lungs were affected. In addition my joints ached so bad that there were days that I couldn't even walk without excruciating PAIN!
Through it all I was determined to get my health back no matter how long it took. So I began reading and studying about my condition and being healthy. But I knew that the ultimate thing to do was to start exercising if not for more than 10-15 minutes a day inspite of the pain.
I knew that I had to stop looking at it as a negative thing compared to what I was doing before which was an hour to two hours a day. I realized that I would never be able to move forward if I continued to look back. I had to find a new place in my life to start over again and that's exactly what I did.
I started riding my stationary bike for 10 minutes a day. The 10 minutes eventually increased to 30 minutes with my treadmill included. The 30 minutes increased to 45 minutes and now I'm doing an hour.
I've lost a total of 36 pounds in about six months. But that's exactly what I needed for my CHANGE to come. I'm taking it one day at a time but I know that I'll reach my goals and exceed them!
Throughout my journey the most important thing I remembered was that I couldn't get mad if others gave up on me. I could only get mad if I gave up on myself!
