First day to the rest of my life

I am trying to lose 25 lbs by Thanksgiving, but that isn't all i want to do. I want to be healthy. I want to feel healthy.
I am 20 years old, I am married (almost 4 months) and weigh 150 lbs.
I love being active and feeling sore, but after getting married we moved to a city in a state that I've never been in before. I'm slowly getting used to it, but going on a run isn't as fun as it used to be.
Eating healthy is something I love as well, but we eat out 2-3 times a week so it's also hard to do.
I love cooking, and I recently found a job so shopping for food is something I'm trying to take over.
So day 1. Today's goal is to drink 8 glasses of water, and stay within 1300 calories.
