First day to the rest of my life

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Hi, I am trying to lose 25 lbs by Thanksgiving, but that isn't all i want to do. I want to be healthy. I want to feel healthy. I am 20 years old, I am married (almost 4 months) and weigh 150 lbs. I love being active and feeling sore, but after getting married we moved to a city in a state that I've never been in before. I'm slowly getting used to it, but going on a run isn't as fun as it used to be. Eating healthy is something I love as well, but we eat out 2-3 times a week so it's also hard to do. I love cooking, and I recently found a job so shopping for food is something I'm trying to take over. So day 1. Today's goal is to drink 8 glasses of water, and stay within 1300 calories. You can join me on my journey and if you want to become buddies to keep each other accountable just message. This is my first day to the rest of my life.

The truth is studies show women GAIN weight after they get married, because the guy eats every night and she SITS with him on the sofa while he plays video games or watches TV and EATS. Doesn't bother him but she gets fat. Not good.

Do this for YOU. Over the last seven years I have read so many Spark blogs that are the same "Oh, I got married and I gained, and then I got pregnant and gained a lot more and didn't lose it and then got pregnant again, etc. etc and now I'm 250#....." Don't let that happen to you.

Hello...Spark People has become my support groups for you see I am a recovering grease-holic. Yes, it is true if you can "fry it" I can "eat it".

Moderation is a very important key to being successful in our journey. One day at a time....Look for small victories...Look for non-scale successes.

Spark People research has found that people who get involved in social teams tend to be more successful in their efforts.

I want to personally invite you to join the SparkPeople's Official Healthy Habits Challenge Team. There you will find others that will support you in your journey and you will be able to help others as well.

On our team page BOBCATGIRL76 one of our team leaders has a great article to check out. Let me know what you think.

We are here to help. YOU can DO this! Oh by the way...have you ever tried Fried cardboard, don't have much favor but a nice crunch....lol....Live life today.

That is such a reasonable goal. emoticon

You can find lots of great healthy recipes in SparkRecipes.com. There is also a link to it in the Articles and Videos tab at the top of the page. In that same tab, you can find links to many exercise videos. That could be an option while you settle into your new home.

    emoticon and good luck!
