Spring Challenge 2015

I am participating in the 2015 Spring 5% challenge. I was reviewing my previous challenge goals before I set new ones for this challenge. In doing so, I was reminded of two particular goals that I always set, but never meet. I am going to have a talkin' to with myself to see what the problem is!
Goal 1:
Elliptical - 20 minutes, twice/week
Why is this such a buster? 20 minutes, twice a week! Maybe 10 minutes, 4xs/week!
Let's take a look at why this is such a simple goal. The machine is in my home. I don't have to get in a car. I don't have to wait my turn. I don't have to be dressed. Well, you know what I mean...dressed in fancy gym clothes. I can wear flip-flops, sneakers, barefeet, or red pumps if I wish! I enjoy an endless supply of The Office, Star Trek and House re-runs when ever I want. I have the cutest personal trainer ever, who sits nearby and looks at me with the sweetest of puppy eyes! So, you see, there is nothing and I mean NOTHING negative about this arrangement. Yet...I habitually blow it off. Why? WHY??? Here is what I am going to do. I am going to start off at square one. I am going to make it a goal just to get on this machine each day, even if it is only for one minute, or five minutes or more. Everyday, get on, move my body, get off. There is no reason for me to ignore this opportunity.
Goal 2:
Taking 1 class/week at the gym.
Again...not a biggee, but not getting it done. I think this would be accomplished by going with a buddy. I was taking a spin class regularly and I really enjoyed it, but it became more and more difficult to find the motivation to leave the house in the cold and the dark when all I wanted to do was curl up in my jammies with my dogdog. Fact is, I liked the class, but I did not love it. I know myself well enough to know that I have to really love what I do in my free time in order for it to stick. The same is true for knitting, reading, baking and music. If I don't love it, I won't do it! I think this goal should be changed to "1 day/week at the gym doing whatever I feel like doing!" I like the treadmills and the free weights and the circuits, so I will stick with that. What I need to determine next is the amount of time to spend there, and when. That is fodder for another entry. So for now, here is what I have:
Elliptical: 7x/week, minimum 7 minutes/week (sounds ridiculous, I know, but I am trying to make using it consistently the goal here)
Gym: Visit the gym one day/week and do what ever floats my boat!
Enjoy life: 24/7/365!
