Chic Thrifty Shopper.

Thursday, April 09, 2015

You know I am a Thrift Store shopper. Money doesn't grow on trees. I have a very chic wardrobe. and almost every piece came from a Thrift Shop.

I have blogged and posted photos of earlier finds. I have shopped so much I find that I don't need much these days. If I see something that really speaks to me or just want to change out some pieces, then I will buy it.

.. We all like to save money.

I used to think just to pay thrift store prices was savings enough. But lately I find myself saving even more by shopping on discount days, especially the $2.00 day. What two of these dollars can buy is amazing.

On my last
Here's a few things I scored.

I spent $32.00. Bought 16 items. Saved in thrift store prices, $170.84. savings in department store prices, $500.00 or more.
Beige leather jacket.
Blue/white print capris pants.
Pretty spring flowered skirt
Long gauzy multi print patio lounge dress, New, still had original sales tag.

I love this Abdominal Snowman or Yak looking faux fur vest. It too still had original price tag.

Sheer black/white print blouse. looks better on than photo.
I also got lucky with a pair of Lisette Montreal black knit pants. Retail, $110.00.
Sometimes I just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
Picked up a few tee's. You can never have enough fresh summer tee's.

I decided to buy a different toaster/broiler this past Monday. Knew I could get one at Walmart for about $30.00, but thought to check out Thrift store first.
Stopped at goodwill, found a Hamilton Beach toaster/oven, really nice. $9.99.
Looked at Value Village, had a 30% discount I could use, but nothing there.
Went to Walmart, found the Hamilton beach model from Goodwill, Walmart price, $34.99.
I went back to Goodwill and bought the one they had.

Decided to skip the $2.00 shopping today. I really have reached a point of not needing anything,
I am going to Michael's and Jo-Ann's, have 50% off coupon's. buy some jewelry display forms.
I am suffering some with allergies, even though I take shots and pills.
The flowering trees outside my apartment are pretty, but my watery eyes, sniffles tell a different story.
Today it's nice, in the 60's with sun.
Titan and I are going to the park, have a long hour walk. we will go check out the geese and ducks at the other park. Try to get some photo's.
Tried taking some self photos of me . it's hard to hold phone and shoot picture. need a selfie stick.
Two views, hair up and hair down.
I have scheduled three more craft shows.
Had fun doing the one in Roseburg.
Here's photo of my layout at show. Some shots of entertainment.
Baby Gramps , singing. And one of the Belly dancer.

I have managed to include all that's going on in my life.
I'll close with a view of the booth in back of me at the Roseburg show.

Sweet Dreams.
Peace and love.
Be the best you can, Spark on.

Hi Tisha, I know you always seem to luck out finding the thrift store clothes that still have the original price. I seem to only find that once in awhile. Your jewelry display looks fantastic! I bet you meet a lot of interesting people at the craft shows! hope the allergy situation improves. Same issue here. Enjoy your day! emoticon emoticon June

Great blog. I was wondering if you were going to have too much stiff, but then you decided to back off. We lived in a travel trailer for 10 years, and had a rule that every time you bought something that didn't get used up, you had to throw something away. The trailer was still always overweight.

A fellow thrifter...you will be on my friends list!! You make the jewelry? I lived at thrift stores when kids were growing up....and garage sales, etc. ...that grew into finding vintage clothing,,,and voila.....I began to collect and sell it.! Now I sell costumes, also...and I love 'vintage' anything!

..saving money is the best....hardly ever a reason to buy new,,,except it's just fun sometimes!! I Loved your blog!!

Your thriftiness is one of the things I love best about you. You really know how to get your money's worth and that is something I admire. My favorites were the blue and white pants and the black and white shirt you didn't think showed up very well.

Mt allergies are bothering me too but they get worse in May. I love the geese and ducks at the park too. I wish I had a buddy like Titan to enjoy it with.

Your jewelry is beautiful! I really love the most colorful stuff. I'm into color.

I LOVE shopping second hard stores! It's getting tough for my 9 yr old boy - guess they wear things out more, but I still find a few things. All helps! Your jewelry looks very nice.
