Got a Date Tomorrow!

I made a date with my family to go grocery shopping together tomorrow. You're disappointed, I know? Maybe you expected me to share how I have been single for awhile and am finally dipping my toe in the dating pool. No, thank goodness I have that part of my life fulfilled.
No, this is a boring story of my not getting enough protein in my diet and finally deciding to fix it. You see, I am not much of a meat eater. I do eat meat, but it isn't high on my list of preferred foods. I also am not thrilled about bread in its various forms. Don't dislike bread, but can take it or leave it. For most of my life I believed I must be getting enough protein in spite of these food quirks, primarily because I love cottage cheese, yogurt, almost all kinds of hard and soft cheeses and milk. When the nutrition tracker showed that I was missing my protein goal on several days of every week, I started making it a point to eat some bread and beans or foods containing beans, like chili. Yet, I continue to be low in protein for multiple days of every week.
So, tomorrow my family is going to the grocery store to stock up on foods that include grains, nuts, seeds, fish and maybe meat or cuts of meat that we don't usually buy. I want to see my food tracker show that I am meeting, or at least very close to, my protein goal each day. I am looking forward to the satisfaction I know I will feel from getting over this hurdle.
