First I just want to ask, if anyone out there has any legal expertise in this area, if you are injured on the job, to the point that you have to have surgery, and be off on workers comp for several months, can your employer cancel your health insurance??? Since, technically you have not quit the job or been fired, are still considered an employee????

Yesterday, it was such a nice day. I walked an hour, and came home and cleaned house. Ate healthy all day, til supper time.
We decided, since it was so nice out, to cook out for the first time this year.
I wont say I ate too much. But I had a couple of hot dogs.
So, later on last night, my right foot began hurting so bad, I was actually screaming out with each wave of pain.
I rubbed some cream on it and took some aleve.
It eased off after an hour or so.
I didnt put two and two together until this morning.
The hotdogs!!!
Uric acid, gout.....
So, I learned my lesson.
Of course, I didnt walk this morning, thinking the pain had been caused by arthritis or maybe just too much walking, poor shoes, whatever.
So, now I figured it out and I will walk.
I am struggling with other issues.
Finacial mainly. Honey is waiting a phone call about a job and as each day passes, the likelihood that they are going to call lessens.
I am very disappointed.
He has been released to return to work, but has bad feelings about returning to the old job, this is the situtation mentioned above.
So, the days pass and we sit and wait and hope that he gets the new job.
And wonder what he will do if he doesnt.
Such is life. Just really trying my patience.
Trying to stay afloat.

    Sorry about the gout. As for the health insurance, now that Obama-care is the law of the land, you are compelled to have health insurance. Employment is completely different. As long as your termination wasn't discriminatory, the employer doesn't need a reason to let you go. I suppose if your honey is not getting a paycheck, he could be considered terminated.
