Three weeks in

After a week of working over 100 hours including my favorite all-nighters, I was very reluctant to take measurements today. But I was pleasantly surprised by a loss both in weight (a pound) and in inches. Down another .5 in my waist, .25 in my hips, .5 thigh and .25 arms. So three weeks in, my weight has only gone down 3 lbs, but I've lost a total of three inches of the measurements I take, 1.5 of that in my waist. So even though I only got to work out twice this week, the 12000+ steps I hit while at work and concentrating on eating the right things since I couldn't work out really helped! I'm so glad I decided to use my measurements as a sign of my progress instead of relying on the scale alone. I feel a difference in the way my cloths fit and I can see my body toning up. Finally... at 40 years old, I'm finally breaking my addiction to the scale and not getting disappointed and discouraged just because that silly number isn't moving. Feeling great!
