Learning from Others

Sunday, April 19, 2015

“Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry.”
― J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

I have tried four times to write a blog related to this quote, but each time the window I was typing in closed and the typed words disappeared. I can't make myself type it one more time, so I am sharing the quote and challenge readers to apply it to your own circumstances. I hope the quote is worth your while.

Sometimes I write in Word and then paste here - sorry your post got lost. I am a believer that everything has a lesson and I do seem to learn the most from my imperfections or at least those are the lessons I remember best and they usually make great stories.

I always learn from my mistakes. I admire people who seem to have it all together, but none of knows until we walk in their shoes.
