Confrontations

Thursday, April 23, 2015

This has been an interesting week so far, to say the least! I have a very quiet, calm, peacekeeping family. We don't ever fight with anyone!! This week has just been an off week.

Monday: My daughter comes home from school bawling and begging to be homeschooled. She had got into a verbal altercation with some mean girls at school. The girls are most likely jealous of her because they come from broken homes, they aren't as athletic, etc but none the less at age 11, that hurts. I talked to the teacher and one girls parent and it is being taken care of.

Tuesday: My son gets ripped by the band/vocal teacher for not having his special singing group shirt for the concert. Luckily we have a similar shirt at home and we only live four blocks from school. Crisis averted. Wednesday the teacher finds the shirt in the vocal room where my son said it was the whole time!! It had been put away in the wrong spot. Teacher apologized. Tuesday night my son goes to a little party. He's 15, in high school and after things like the concert they all go down to the store parking lot and hang out. Yes, my town is that small. 10 blocks x 10 blocks....800 people. On his way home a grown man who was apparently already irritated by the partying stops MY SON and proceeds to profanely rip his rear for the noise, the kids playing football in the street, him leaving a can behind, etc. Oh well that didn't sit well with this mama bear! After a heated phone discussion and then many facebook messages he has apologized to me and my son! He also will NEVER speak to my son again.

Wednesday: I end up with a friend of a friend in my living room. She is very upset about how a local woman "wronged" her and I get to listen to a 30 min play by play of the event!! Now, this one didn't pertain to me. I just got to listen to it! That night I got to listen to a long story about an upcoming divorce. Again, doesn't directly affect me. I guess I was just a good sounding board that day. Finally I end the night on the phone with a woman who is on my side in yep, another debate! I clean businesses as a side job and have been having some trouble with a church 10 miles out of town. It is open 24/7 and they get upset if they come in at any given time and there is any trash in the trash cans! Hello people, I am not driving 20 miles round trip daily to check your trash! Well, the lady that talked to me last night is on the board and cleared things up for me. She fought for me and it ended well but I still got a 30 + minute play by play of the fight in the meeting.

Ok, SERIOUSLY people!!! Where's the peace??!! Why all the conflict?!!?! I am ready to crawl in a hole and hide! So far, so good for today. Let's hope it stays that way. Lord, please bring me peace! :)

Seems like when we find peace, the chaos seeks to find us also. Hang in there!

As the world turns! You faced the problems as adults often due. emoticon

Time to let it go. We go around each day wearing one of 3-hats.

If one is feeling sorry for them selves & ready for a pity party the hat there wearing at that moment is of a child. emoticon

In dealing with children we wear he hat of a parent. emoticon

Acting in a rational mode we don the hat of an adult. emoticon

    And life goes on! emoticon
