Have You Ever Eaten A Full Pizza? Getting Over Food Fears.

Sunday, May 03, 2015

Hey Everyone,
I forced myself to make healthy lifestyle changes this month that would last me a lifetime. I feel like one of the hardest lifestyle changes was allowing in all types of foods, and that includes the occasional treat as long as its within my calorie range. This week I had fast food, and still lost weight due to staying active, portion control, and carefully monitoring my calories for the day in consideration of my fast food choice. Today I decided to try another feared food *dun dun dunnnnn* I normally stick to my 1200 calorie plan, but today I went a little over coming in at 1400. At first I felt a bit guilty, but then I reminded myself that I was active today (I easily burned 200 calories), and that I also have all week to make up for the 200 over that I was. Its so much freedom being able to eat pizza again, but I guess I've trained my brain to still feel a bit of guilt for being over by 200 calories. It doesn't help that the pizza I ate (607 calories) was a full size medium thin crust that I ate all by myself...I feel as if I am the only woman who has ever eaten a medium pizza alone (though, my husband assures me his former female roommate has before). Guilt aside...I am still proud that I ate a food I once though could never be allowed in my diet. I am learning that with calorie counting and portion control no food has to be I have to train my brain to accept that.

Have you ever eaten a full pizza?

Update: The pizza that I ate was thin crust, so I think its why I was able to eat the entire thing without feeling sick (mostly was just cheese with green pepper)

" I am learning that with calorie counting and portion control no food has to be I have to train my brain to accept that. " This is what I am currently working on.

When you burn calories while exercising, that is called a deficit. You cannot eat your burned calories, it just doesn't work for weight loss. You need a deficit to do so. Google this fact and you will get more information about it.

I have never eaten a full pizza. I try to stick to only two pieces- but last night I did have 3 ( every Sat. night is date night w/ homemade pizza).

Portion control is key, sometimes, ok a lot of the times I struggle with this.

    Have a great week!

I have never eaten a full 'medium' pizza in one sitting. I have had a whole small pizza in the past though. Not a huge pizza fan. Now, a big plate of sushi would be a different story emoticon

Well done on getting control on your calories and food.
