Have You Noticed This?????????

Friday, May 08, 2015

My DH and I drove to a city about an hour and a half away from our home today to meet his second oldest brother for a brunch. It was a location pretty much equidistant for both of us and a great place to have breakfast. We spent about two hours there between eating and visiting and as we were leaving, my husband made the comment that he wondered if there was a PT facility located in the back of the restaurant as so many people were around our age or older and were using a cane, a walker, a wheelchair, etc. In our group of four, my BIL has had a shoulder replaced, his friend has had back surgery, knee surgery and just had hip surgery in March, I have had knee-replacement surgery, and am presently using a cane to help alleviate some of the stress in my back.

Is it that there are so many of us BABY BOOMERS out and about due to retirement, or are we wearing out faster, or WHAT????? Have you noticed how many of us there are and how many physical impairments we seem to be experiencing?????? What's going on!!!!!

Hopefully we won't need these things if we eat right and get our exercise in.

We are called baby boomers for a reason. There are a lot of us period. Yes we are wearing out but not really any more than earlier generations, I do think our life styles, eating habits higher stress levels is speeding up our body degeneration faster . But we are living longer, working longer than our predecessors.

Yes. I think lots of it has to do with the food we eat (that we shouldn't) and the exercise we should get but don't! Being Sparkers, though, I really think is to our benefit.
