baby steps, on a sore foot.

Thanks to all those who commented on my last blog.
Yesterday was just an overall depressing day.
Today I do feel some what better.
I got up earlier and went to the walking track, but my walk was cut short due to the terrible pain in my left ankle.
I thought I might need to go back to the sports injury doctor who treated me when I broke that foot 2 years ago.
It is the same foot, but the pain is different.
Normally, I wait it out, to make sure it isnt just a cramp, etc.
But today, the ankle bone was especially hurting.
So, I did get 40 minutes in, but it was slow going.
I decided to take a step for myself. And I called and made arrangements to go on Monday to talk to the people at a nearby National College.
This is more of a vocational college, aimed mostly at people wanting to go right into a job and not just to transfer to a 4 year college.
They offer classes in Medical and Legal office assisting and LPN classes as well as some technology classes.
My friend who is an RN told me to go to the Nursing program and she will help.
I am not sure if that is where my interest lies, but, I am going to look into it.
As of right now, I am leaning more toward medical office assisting.
As most of the available jobs in the area are hospital or clinics.
Not sure if this is the right step for me, or if I would be better satisfied going out and finding a job.
But for now, I am going to see this thru and go to the meeting and find out what the requirements are.
I am going to continue walking, when I take a day or two to allow my foot pain to subside.
My doctor prescribed me some gel to apply.
Hopefully that will help.
I am looking forward to changes in my life.
And I am going to keep working hard on not only my weight loss and exercise, but keeping active and making new friends.
I have decided to make decisions for the improvement of MY self and MY health.
So, I am taking baby steps.
