blog privacy

Sunday, May 17, 2015

I checked my settings and didn't see any place where you can mark the page private - with the exception of only sharing with spark friends. I was stunned when I did a search and a spark blog came up. It was a good blog, but it make me wonder about the privacy of my blogs - not that I'm releasing any state secrets but this is my shared journal of sorts, and no, I don't want the world reading it. When I do that, it'll have an ISBN number.

Any body have any other information about sparkblog privacy?

I went for a "run" - loose term as I actually ran for 10 minutes straight and then alternated run and walk but packed it in at the 1.5 mile total. Then I slept, then did some muscle work. Sigh, being sick that long, it looks like I'm starting over at the beginning, but at least I know where I can get to and my current goals are just a bit further out in the distance.

Used to be you could track everything privately. I was shocked to learn all my exercise minutes got posted on my feed, and it wasn't a question of the settings.

As for blogs, you're not going to like this, but the contents of your blogs belong to SP not to you, as others have noted. That's my understanding: You post on their website, it's theirs. So, you might want to reconsider especially if you are planning on publishing at some future date.

You go to "edit my spark page". Then up at the top there are a bunch of check boxes. On the top right hand side one of them is for only showing your blog to your friends. I had my page that way for a long time. I understand!

I'm so excited that you can run at all. I'm still working up to the place to get there. With my auto-immune issues, I often make progress and then lose it. The reality is that we can always fight to get it back. You did this before. You know how. You've got this! I believe in you.
