Walking more

Thursday, May 28, 2015

I bought a step tracker. I put it on my shoe when it came in. So since 11 AM I stepped 10,000 steps. I do not think this one is designed to go on my shoe. I think it counts 2 every step so if I divide it I still stepped 5,000 steps. So I think that is pretty good. Try to be accountable to yourself if to no one else.

I also met my friend and walked around the lake... even though it started raining we walked at a pretty good speed for 45 minutes. We plan to meet once a week and walk.

Awesome, I also enjoy walking. Outdoors mostly but on a treadmill if the weather or my budget will not allow me to got to the gym. Your 10,000 steps emoticon is possibly correct I know the pedometer app I have on my phone is accurate because I actually counted the number of steps I took to make a lap then I compared it to the number on my phone and it was within 3.

The app is FREE and it is called "Pedometer" I found it in the Google Play Store.

    Hope this will help.

I am a bit afraid of the dogs in the neighborhood too. I would love to go walk here but I drive 15 minutes to the park. Maybe if I can get in shape enough to run I will try waling around here and take a big stick and mace. LOL

Hmm...depending on how fast you were walking, it's actually possible you got in 10,000 steps. I figure 5000 is about 2.5 miles, so 10,000 is about 5 miles (in case that helps you figure out your "real" steps). Good for you for being intentional in tracking how much exercise you're REALLY getting!

When I was on Weight Watchers, we had a tracker we could put on our shoes. That's awesome to walk 5000 steps. I've done it one time. Every time I go to walk outside their are big dogs outside & I was mauled by a big dog when I was a little girl! I hope you have a blessed day! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon for a emoticon blog! emoticon
