It is getting to be that time of year.
Beach time!!!
Normally, right now, I would be planning it out. Booking the room, finding a swimsuit that fits.
Anxiously awaiting the day we started the long 8 hour drive to the beach.
But not this year.
Money is too tight. and so this year, summer vacation most likely, will be spent at home, on the deck.
Doing very little. Planning for next year.

If there is one thing I dislike, more than most things I dislike. It is not having access to a swimming pool. There are fewer things I like better than swimming. Really swimming, not splashing or sliding or sitting under the fountain.
Our local park took out the swimming pool a few years ago and replaced it with a splash pool.
I am sure its fun for the kids and a break for the moms.
But for those of us who loved getting into the deep water and doing laps, not so much.
There is just no place around here to swim.
We are surrounded by waterways, rivers, and yes, I could go to the river and splash and soak to cool off, but there are usually tons of people doing the same, so actually being able to do laps, between people and rocks isnt an option.
There are even some good sized lakes nearby, but they dont allow swimming.
I cant think of one place right now where I could go to get in water deep enough to really do laps.
Other than a hotel.
I am on a quest to find a lake that has designated swimming area.

I was born half fish and I need to be in the water swimming.

Didnt walk this morning.
If the rain holds off, I will get one in later this evening. I personally think walking in the morning is better, but I will take it when I can get it.
Couldnt believe my eyes when I stepped on the scale yesterday to see 4 pounds gone.
I hadnt weighed in over a week.
But my shorts are so loose, they are practically hanging off my hips.
I need to start measuring inches.

Went shopping last night and filled the house with healthy foods.
I also bought some new clippers for dog grooming.
My poor little dog. Her coat is very thick and its becoming matted on her backside.
Despite my best efforts to comb it out, my clippers pooped out weeks ago.
So, this is another thing on the agenda today, wrestle a pomeranian into submission and cut some wool lol.

Hoping everyone has a great weekend and sees plenty of sunshine and fresh fruit and gets some exercise as well as entertainment.

Congratulations on the weight loss! WOOHOO! Keep up the good work. Good luck finding a swimming hole that you can use! I take it there's no local YMCA or community pool. Maybe you can work out an arrangement with a local hotel.

I am lucky to be only an hour from the beaches of several Great Lakes here. However, my city has several different indoor and outdoor pools for swimming. Are there absolutely none near you? That would be awful. I am lucky to have one in walking distance from home.

Good luck with pomeranian wrestling! That will burn massive calories!
