Vacation Eating

Sunday, June 07, 2015

My husband and I are on vacation this week. We are leaving tomorrow morning, Monday, to go to Old Orchard Beach for the week. This Thursday is our Anniversary.
We are low on funds for this trip so we are going to bring what food we can that we can eat in our room. I don't want to worry all week about what I'm eating. I want to just relax and enjoy our time together. I also though don't want to eat crap all week and come back and find that I've gained. Somehow I need to still make the best food choices I can and that may man some times not eating at all if nothing healthy is available.
I know when I get back from vacation I will be starting over again on my diet but hope I don't gain this week.

Have a wonderful trip! It sounds so fun and relaxing!! I'm with Mayie - find those local fruit stands or farmer's markets for stocking up on good eats. If/when you utilize the restaurants, order large meals that give you leftovers to take care of a meal or two the next day. More time to play on the beach & have fun and less money out of pocket!
Take lots of walks and don't worry too much about diet - make good memories!

My wife prepackages everything and has gone gluten free. I am blessed there.

Are there grocery stores at Old Orchard Beach? Fruits, veggies, whole foods. You can do this and still be a winner! Enjoy the holiday and happy anniversary. emoticon
