Something to think about

today I ran across this statement written on a piece of paper in my drawer with thing to ponder...I might have posted this before but I thought it was worth repeating....

FOOD IS THE MOST ABUSED ANTI-ANXIETY DRUG IN AMERICA..... emoticon

EXERCISE IS THE MOST POTENT YET UNDERUTILIZED ANTI-DEPRESSANT.... emoticon

this really got me to thinking......I am guilty of reaching for food, I know I find time daily to sit relax with my snacks....when life seems to be closing in on me....I want to have a hot cup of tea and one of my healthy snacks........



Think about how good it feels when you are done with your exercise....it does feel so good to be done

maybe we should reach for a walk or a bike ride or even a hug ...instead of that candy, chips, or what ever food it is you reach for....

Is it possible to find comfort and strength with out reaching for food...
I'm not sure and to be honest it scares me a little bit.....
I have admitted to being a food addict....some have told me I am an exercise addict too....but have to admit it doesn't scare me to say I won't exercise ever again.....lol I enjoy my exercise but know if I was told I had to stop I would, it would be strange at first but I know I could....but if someone told me I could no longer have a relaxing snack it scares me....a lot....
