ABlogging We Will Go......

Tuesday, July 07, 2015

Not a big blogger, but once in a while I gotta say some stuff. GOOD STUFF: We've been in our new home for 5 weeks now and I AM IN LOVE. I am such a domestic goddess, I can't stand myself! Today I'm gonna iron vintage flour sack towels. They have these cute little embroidered pics on them, CUTE! Did I really just use the word IRON?!?!?! NEVER have I ironed! I also ran around this place this morning and used touch up paint on the dings on the walls that got abused when we were moving in furniture. THIS IS NOT ME!!! But, I kinda am groovin' on it, for real!

BAD STUFF: When I'm happy, I eat. I've had the mindset that with all this extra activity I am burning SOOO many calories that I indulge on my Kemp's Rocky Road. Every. Night. OUCH! I also am using the excuse that life is too short, be happy. My hair stylist, whom is beautiful, vibrant, full of life with 3 girls has been diagnosed with cancer this year and the treatments are no longer working. She's only 50 and the doctor has already had "the talk" with the family. So I just get out my Rocky Road and shovel away. Because I am sad and also, LIFE'S too short, right? I could be dead tomorrow! I realize I am reverting back to old behaviors that are forever imbedded in my mind and every day I have to fight the GOOD fight to get past them. It's so HARD, people! Waaaaah me, sobs .... But, I've been on this journey for like, 4 years now and I know better. I know what to do. Now just to quit buying my "Sugar Crack" and get back on track! Thanks for listening, Sparkies!

it is so hard to take bad news and theres no perfect way to deal with it. Life is short and at times I feel the very same way. No matter what we do or don't do we are all going to end up in the same place! enjoy life exercise it off and enjoy 💗

I’m glad you are happy in your new home! It must be exciting!
Just keep on moving, rocky road….mmmmm, stay focused.
Hugs to your hair stylist, that has got to be so hard, especially with 3 girls. And life is too short, so do what you can to have a happy and healthy one. I hope everything gets better.

Sorry your stylist is so ill. The only way I can stay on track is not to have it in the house.
