Today has had its moments, but thankfully the "happy" is outweighing the "sad." Mainly the sad was brought on once again from my son as he was still choosing the "Nobody is right about anything except me" attitude. It didn't get him anywhere except without help during school because if I'm asked for help and then told I am not right I won't waste my time.

I realized about lunch time that I had messed up on the plan for the week as I got two "fun" days scheduled side-by-side. Only supposed to have per week! Since the kids already knew and I didn't want to make the attitude in the house any worse I just went with it and off to McD's we went. Loved all the Minion fun they had going with their menu posters! I really want to see that movie either by receiving it for my September birthday or at the cheap theater.

Maybe they will have it at the drive-in. Isaac can handle that...can't do theaters.

After lunch the kids asked about going to the pool and since Isaac's physical therapy was cancelled we had nothing else going on and it was the warmest day of the week from the forecast (98).

They swam for about 90 minutes and I did some reading.

After I brought them home I got ready for the gym since I now had time to go since the afternoon was free. As I was still a bit sore from the Tabata circuit yesterday I stuck to the elliptical only and got a good cardio workout accomplished. Enjoyed "Love It or List It" while sweating.

Now the kids are playing the Wii and I just finished getting supper ready (roast gravy and gluten free biscuits) so while waiting on that I'm watching Master Chef while Sparking.

Tonight we are planning games as a family. "Say Anything" and "Reverse Charades." Will be fun as long as Isaac can hold it together and actually enjoy it all. My plan is to just ignore his behaviors if they start flaring and let Tim handle it. With any luck he will be okay and we can have a fun time. It truly makes me sad that so many of our family plans can fall apart so quickly due to his behaviors. Staying on my knees that all will go smoothly.

Tomorrow: We are going over to a friend's place for lunch and some fun. The main reason behind it though was so Carolyn and I can do pre planning for the student council before we get them together in late August to get things going before co-op begins in September.

sounds like you have some great family time planned. I hope Issac can get to a better level in his responses, but I know you will have to deal with this again... bless you!

I was thinking that Jason seemed milder than Isaac does. And when Jason would drive me nuts on occasion, I had to handle it before it got out of hand since I discovered fairly early in my marriage that my (then) husband had a short temper and unfortunately since he had been beaten as a child, he would beat to "discipline." Therefore I did not dare let anything go long enough that it drew his attention. That is the major reason I am no longer married to him.
