Slowly finding normal

Wednesday, July 15, 2015

That past few weeks feel like a blur. Sorry if this is longer than usual.

With all the weight loss, I found a tumor and started having trouble with a fibroid cluster in my right breast. We have spent some time monitoring it. Along with weight loss comes the problem of excess skin. So my body is a real mess. After running some tests, doing some genetic family history my doctors decided I needed to have the tumor out and take as much tissue as they could to be proactive.

With all that said, here I am 3 weeks out of surgery and slowly finding normal. This surgery really has me moving slow. I am trying to eat well but I keep sleeping at weird times so my meals are all sorts of weird. Some days only getting in two. I know that will improve as I move through the healing process.

I miss being on spark and hope to get back to a regular check in schedule. I kept a little notebook handy so I could eventually log the stuff here. We shall see.

In the mean time, slow and steady wins the race. I am counting my blessings that the tests results came back negative for cancer and my body continues to get healthier with each passing day.

I encourage each of you to stay in tune with your body and always be proactive about your health~
