Short blog in contrast to yesterday's... ;)

I had a pretty busy day today.
Got up, had a quick but healthy breakfast and took my son to a kids' nature class at an arboretum nearby. Went on a little hike during the 2 hour class, then came home and had lunch. I made some delicious salmon and asparagus. Did some quick cleaning then headed to a local museum complex for some free days. We went to the art museum and then walked over to another museum and walked around a couple hours with my friend and her daughter. Stopped at my moms and came home. Made a salad and then had some frozen pizza. Thanks to the salad I didn't eat much pizza, especially compared to what I would have if I wasn't tracking it!
Now I'm relaxing and will probably head to bed soon. Just lots of running around today has me tired. Though my tracker only has me at under 6000 steps, so then it doesn't feel like much. I know I didn't have it in an optimal spot for accuracy, but still. Either way, It's much more than the days I'd spend being far less active so I'm happy. I'm also happy I tracked everything I ate today and have a few hundred calories left that I could have, but don't need. I've thought of some sweet snacks but I keep telling myself I really don't need them and I don't feel hungry at all. I will not eat anything else, just keep drinking my water since I was slacking a bit earlier. One day at a time, I'm doing this!
Oh and tomorrow I have a friend coming over that's been eating healthy and lost some weight. We used to get together for movie nights and eat too much unhealthy pizza and dessert and totally indulge. Well now that we are both health minded right now, we're grilling chicken, having veggies, I think she is bringing fruit for dessert, and I have some really healthy cooking light popcorn if we want to snack. It was really fun planning! I was worried when I mentioned zucchini and asparagus she wouldn't like them and she just told me she loves both! Indulging and being "bad" together had a certain appeal, but in a bad way, it's more fun to be creatively healthy! I'm going to marinate some chicken breasts in two different types of marinade and either skewer pieces or grill them whole and make sandwiches...hmm... :)
Hope everyone's having a great week!
