Our Pooped-out Pop-up
Wednesday, July 29, 2015
Camping can be so much fun when the equipment works fine. Our pop-up camper served us well until it was time to go home. The camper got stuck in the upright position for the third time.
The first time, we were on Mt Desert Island in Acadia National Park. The second time, we were on the Kancamaugus Highway, hiking in the White Mountains. There's nothing more frustrating than getting ready to go home and having to stop everything in order to gently persuade the camper to go down.
Third strike, you're out. We have put a lot of money into our camper, and now, it was time to make a change. We brought our pop-up in to Lev of Outdoor World of NH. He has always listened to our interests, and given us what we want. He talked about what it would cost for repairs on the old model, as well as a time frame and then showed us a few different models of campers.
We walked away with a very good deal on an A Liner. It has everything that we want without extras that we don't need. Tomorrow we start our new camping adventure. Thank you Lev for your time, attention and a very fair deal.
