Getting My Exercise in During a Busy Day

Saturday, August 01, 2015

No matter what is on my "To Do list" , I always find ways to squeeze some exercise into my daily routine. I find ways to incorporate my exercises with my "to do List".

Picking up the rooms of my home..I get on the floor and stretch to pick up something that has fallen on the floor. This prepares my body for more movement. Grabbing small bags, allows me to walk to the dumpster several times. This allows me to get a lot of steps in quickly, as well as get my Vitimin D naturally.

Dusting the furniture, I put some CD's on and dance to the music while getting the furniture shiny and bright. Same thing with the my date with the vacuum cleaner. Do some extra twisting when vacumming.

Now I have two felines, and on hot humid days, it can smell like a skunk came and played with the cats. So the litter box gets changed completely frequently. This give me some strength training and more steps accumulated quickly.

Then its a walk to the mailbox. More steps in and I got my mail for the day and more Vitamin D naturally.

Then it's off to the stores, pick up 35 pounds of cat litter, 16 pound dry cat food, 2 packages of 20 pound cat food, for my mother's cat (she and I do our shopping together). Push that around the store anfew times will help me with my strength training and steps. Then lift it to my walker from the car to get it inside my outside door. More strength training and steps.

Then its time to load the laundry baskets full of dirty clothes. Those baskets of clothes can be heavy. More strength training and steps. And it's off to the laundry mat. More steps and more strength training'

Then its off to the farmers market. This is where I get my fresh produce to can. A bushel of green beans, and tomatoes. Weight lifting steps, and knowing I'm getting really good quality of food while supporting the local farmers.

Then its home in front of the tv preparing my produce for canning, which uses my upper body in a low impact cardio routine. Then
its lifting the heavy canner full of your nice produce and knowing your food is good.

Then it's time to to set the processing time. Humm it will take about 45 min to process the produce, and thereis a stationary bike near by. 35 min on stationary bike and she is off to the races.
