all work and no play...or sleep...or time....

Today my blog is about what is healthier. Sleeping in when you can, or getting up and exercising, even if you really need sleep??
I know how important sleep is to our health.
This morning, even though weather reports were wrong again, I chose to sleep in.
My weather app said it was going to rain, in fact it was 60 percent and higher.
So, when I woke, I was just so sleepy.
I decided to forgo my walk and get an extra two hours of sleep.
Of course it didnt rain afterall.
But, I didnt care. My body and my mind and the bags under my eyes thanked me for the extra sleep.
Well, speak of the devil, its raining right now. and has been since about 6pm.
I have sleep on my mind alot lately.
Not mine, but my sons.
He is working two jobs and works 8 hours one job, then goes and works 12 at his second job.
I know there are days when he doesnt have to work both shifts.
But some days he does.
I worry he is going to burn out.
He says he lives on coffee and energy drinks.
I advised him to ditch the energy drinks, drink his coffee black and no sugar which we all know can cause crashes later in the day.
and add some protein.
On top of his two jobs, he has meetings he conducts and attends everyday, and his g/f lives in another state, so hes running to see her when he gets days off.
I worry about his lack of sleep and spending so much time behind the wheel.
I understand he is just working so much to try to pay off some loans, and of course, pay for his health insurance. rent, etc.
I wish I could have been more help to him financially.
I hate that he has to work so hard just to try to make ends meet and get by. Squeak by at that.
I wish he had the ability financially to have a little more free time and time to take care of his health.
He used to walk and workout alot and I have noticed hes put on some weight.
I guess you just grab what you can on the go to eat with that kind of schedule.
I just worry about him.
I guess it is true, no matter how old our children are, or how they live their lives, we never stop worrying or trying to advise them.
As for me, that extra sleep done a world of good.
I have eaten well today and cleaned my house and then I took a nice long hot soak in the tub.
Maybe that will help with tonights sleep and maybe if the weather app and the weather man get their story straight I will decide to walk, or not, in the morning.
