numb but not too numb

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Got in a really decent workout this evening.
Tried my hand, or I should say my legs, at some deep squats. and tried to hold each one a little longer.
I did 5 in all and the longest hold was for about 15 seconds.
I dont know if that is a thing or not, lol, but I just wanted to try something different.
I do squats all the time, with weights. But never really deep, holding squats.
It was good.
I also did some dumbbell strength workout and some cardio dance.
I sure hope to make it to the track in the morning tho.

Even though I had these terribly painful emg and nerve conduction studies last year, and they showed very mild neuropathy in my left foot. I am experiencing that old famaliar numbness.
Yes this is the foot that I broke, but they didnt say that the break was related to this numbness.
But I guess it has to be in some way.
The fact that the bone took so long to heal cant have been good.
I dont think my foot really healed right. I havent been able to really wiggle my toes or bend them, its very stiff.
I have been taking vitamin b12 and last time I had it checked it was high.
I dont know what else it could be, overuse??? probably not because my other foot is fine.
I guess this is just something I will have to learn to live with.
I just hope it doesnt get worse to the point I cant feel it when I walk.
Well, anyway, it was a good day.
I stayed right on track and I feel really good as this day closes.

You had a good workout. Strength is really important. Sorry about the numbness in the foot. It must be very frustrating.

Neuropathy is one of the worst conditions ever! I have it in my left foot too, so I can sympathize. I take a B100 capsule as well as Alpha Lipoic Acid, which are both touted to help with neuropathy. I'll be done with my gabapentin prescription on Thursday, and I'm not refilling it. Let's see if the condition gets worse. I'm tired of taking drugs to try to fix it. (Mine extends all the way up my left leg, but the toes are the worst!)

I'm thinking good thoughts for you. I'm glad to know someone smart like you, too!
