My overall goal is to become healthy as many of you know this is not an easy task. Trying to eat healthy with temptations in my face pretty much all day, and the cravings at night are just horrible. Honestly, if it wasn't for certain things that motivate me to be healthy I probably wouldn't be able to do this journey at all.
As selfish as it sounds my number one motivator is myself. I want to try on clothes at the store without feeling like crying. I want to run around the apartment building without running out of breath. I want to be around for my kids to grow up. I want to see my grand kids. I want to have more energy to keep up with our very energetic girls. Our girls and my husband are also big motivators for me to keep going. I am fortunate enough to have a supportive husband.
Of course there is spark people too, specifically the groups and challenges. I finished up the 5% summer challenge this last Friday and am doing the inbetween challenge with that group. I have already joined the 5% fall group, and hope to accomplish my 5%. The people are just awesome with motivating on here.
This all being said, I still have hit some bumps in the road and hopefully will get over those before they turn into hills. What motivates you?
